Nayu's Craft Time #317 Sunlight and squirrels

It is so grey and dim outside I have had to put my main light on, which I almost never use. It looks like my own personal sun!

Today I really would rather not be schduling up blog posts, but with a major hospital appointment on Thurs in London and the weather not improving until after that I really need to do this today. Making some orange juice in an hour or so: got the oranges precut in the freezer, just need to whizz with icecubes and water. The appointment is a fun one - I am not being sarcastic. I love my specialist team, they are really supportive and their can do attitude is refreshing. It will still be mega tiring but that's okay.

So cute!!!
Squirrels are adorable, aren't they? What's even cuter is squirrel ears that change colour with your hair, out today for 1 month in Animal Crossing Pocket Camp on android & iPad!
My ears are blonde!

Whoohoo! Hope I can have enough for a squirrel tail too, but the ears come first.
I love my fairy wings but would switch out for time to time.

I had something super cute arrive at the weekend, but I am doing a dedicated post to it so not including it here. It is on Twitter though!

Mostly been gaming lots, as I was blessed with both new games from Boomerang of the new Zelda game: Link's Awakening
and Ni No Kuni on Switch. Ni No Kuni is getting more play time now as it isn't one I can relax with before bed (can be weird in a nightmare inducing way), apart from yesterday when I did just that and thankfully didn't have crazy dreams. It's winter but I am trying to do a bit more jigsaw puzzling etc. Will keep you posted on any progress on Twitter!
Magic is rather cool! (my own gameplay photo)

I hope however your weekend has been that you have some happiness in it!

Over on Nayu's Reading Corner #20 Unsolicited emails are entertaining

No idea who the artist is for this gorgeous work which fit in well with my post on NRC.

Life is being life, but having some laughs which you can read more about on  Nayu's Reading Corner. Forgot to mention in that post that I'm also doing some crochet, will post a picture of it in a few days either as a post here or on Twitter which is for now the only social media I take part it.

Nayu's Craft Time #204 Tablet chucked down stairs

My Aikatsu sticker decorated tablet with a miffed Belle beside it.
I'd like to say that I flung my fruit themed tablet down the stairs because I hate that brand of technology, but that was not the case. I use it only because it has Love Life School Idol Festival game which I'm addicted to and can't get on my android tablet due to age and lack of space. I simply had a clumsy moment as I went down the stairs, and down went the ipad.
You won't throw me down will you? (No, and this is not my cat or staircase)
I wasn't all that surprised to see it intact and working because my android tablet has suffered similar abuse and survived. The key points are

a) to give your tablet a protective cover (see top photo, cat optional)

b) try not to be clumsy!
And for extra cuteness here's a picture of a staircase in a Hello Kitty restaurant (possibly in Hong Kong/Singapore/Shanghai/somewhere in Asia)
That pretty much covers it (pun actually not intended but made me laugh). We are still in the grips of super cold weather so I'm as productive as my sleeping cat until it gets a few degrees warmer. I can be found reading and gaming - latest gaming exploits in Animal Crossing New Leaf over on my other blog, Nayu's Reading Corner. Craft & writing require more brain work than I have available.
As mentioned on social media recently I feel like a snow bunny trying to hide from all the cold!

Nayu's Craft Time #142 Blissfully hot!

This looks just like where I live, even though it's not.
If you're in England, you may have noticed the weather is GORGEOUS!!!! I know a lot of people struggle in the heat, especially if you aren't in a naturally cool building/have fans/air conditioning, if you are sick, and for other reasons, but I love heat.
Keep rising!!!

I'm usually under blankets (some heated), hot water bottles, and more layers of clothing than most in both winter and summer. The temperature getting above 25C helps me feel warm for once without all of those things. Thus it makes me happy! Long may it continue.

Still a bit tired from my crafting day with a friend yesterday, but thought you'd like to see the blanket I've been working on. It's a simple 2 colour treble granny square crochet blanket which involves next to no thinking from me, a bonus these days. I may do a bit more tonight, although a mermaid bed has come up on a family's Animal Crossing New Leaf island, and since I'm a fangirl of said mermaid collection I want more than one, and I'm not sure how many medals I currently have. The plus side is that I usually get what my family has on their island a few days later, so can save up medals another day.
Not my photo (I want a pink wetsuit!) but it is the mermaid bed that's adorable!!!

I'm not sure what I was doing tonight, as I watched anime this morning, have read a lot, and vaguely too tired for craft (gaming involves less hand movement than crochet, and I can do it almost on auto-pilot when uber tired), so maybe gaming is what I'm meant to be doing. Will be listening to audiobooks that's for sure! Almost finished this one,
Murder & secrets abound at this 1930s girls' boarding school (4th book in the series)
and definitely will be continuing with the 2nd in a brilliant Amish series
The Amish still eat a lot of pie in this relisten!
I'd love to hear what you're up to today, whether you have an audiobook on the go, are reading a good book, doing something crafty or gaming!

Nayu's Craft Time #139 Stormy start with brighter fabric filled fun later

If I stay like this the storm/headache may go away...
The title is accurate because we did have a big thunderstorm at the weekend (at least I think it was the weekend), and I had a migraine when I woke Sunday so slept away most of the morning, then had the usual exhaustion (still getting over that) then yesterday I wasn't very well. I am once again on the mend, just making sure I have a lot of rest.

Not my screen shot, but my gaming does have a fabric theme!
When I have a migraine usually can't stand looking at screens, and I frequently get noise and light sensitivity. Somehow I was fine playing on my 3DS this time so I spent a lot of time on Animal Crossing New Leaf rearranging stuff in my town, doing lots of fishing etc. I didn't read the Japanese as that was too much brain power, but the rest I could do on autopilot and kept my mind off how rough I felt. There is a clothes shop, with two sisters - the one at the sewing machine is super shy and it takes days of trying to talk to her before she will say something.

Ta-da!
Gaming isn't the only thing I did - in short bursts I carried out with my mammorth bookmark preparation project, finishing the current step this morning. I cut interfacing for the bookmarks - both what I call normal size and mini size bookmarks. I'm probably combining the two to create fun sets, I'm super eager to see the finished product as the fabric is adorable, very kawaii! Some is elegant and a little bit cute, so there'll be a bookmark for everyone!

I finished cutting interfacing for all the bookmarks. The next step, ironing on the interfacing will hopefully happen tomorrow, with the actual bookmark making starting next week. My laptop battery is dying so I'm going now - will post more on the bookmarks tomorrow!
