It was very annoying and I still have an ongoing situation I can't talk about that affects everything too. I haven't done much craft, I'm slowly doing a little more although on a few project I can't show in public for a long time, but I am doing some craft which helps distract me. I'm gaming a fair bit too! Needed to take life slower than normal but truly hoping I'm over the worst for now. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQX4pFauWcuYLtRYtAxywX6v8BKMb2rj6U9y_YdpxJgHEXmcIPi_To4HfZBkKnCKPAcszKFdzpzU1Gp6YrRkKTnizCygS92Nxs3ffakaoytQN16kA7a2mH6Rq8Wk31vn3TYyoiDd649beuBPLSht8llquEBkUZ9Fj8sMg-4Q7BW6HdKGPDe-PEah9eVYY/s1024/Dec%2023%20guinea%20pig%20front.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1024" data-original-width="620" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQX4pFauWcuYLtRYtAxywX6v8BKMb2rj6U9y_YdpxJgHEXmcIPi_To4HfZBkKnCKPAcszKFdzpzU1Gp6YrRkKTnizCygS92Nxs3ffakaoytQN16kA7a2mH6Rq8Wk31vn3TYyoiDd649beuBPLSht8llquEBkUZ9Fj8sMg-4Q7BW6HdKGPDe-PEah9eVYY/w242-h400/Dec%2023%20guinea%20pig%20front.jpg" width="242" /></a></div><p style="text-align: center;">I recently got a Hobby Craft kit for a guinea pig, which is super cute and very appropriate since I have two, Tulip and Snow. This one looks more like Tulilp, and with a plastic needle was definitely for a younger age group but was fun to make over a few hours. The stuffing puffed up so much from the vacuum packed bag. The felt was easy to work with and I'm hoping to maybe create one for Snow one day. The back was just plain orange (for some reason the photo file was huge, no idea why so not including it). The front orange stripes were meant to be black but that looked too much like their droppings (and therefore odd) so I switched it to orange and almost ran out of orange thread as a result but had just enough to finish up. It's so cute! Hope you've all had a healther autumn/winter season than me. <br /></p>Nayuleskahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08693548526829437580noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2792659997171005300.post-12323485413359204612023-09-09T00:30:00.015+01:002023-09-25T13:35:00.331+01:00Over on Nayu's Reading Corner #35 Review Fae Farm (Nintendo Switch, 6/10)<p style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh36ScNp_4GGNuVeA6pMSic0niy0Wm25ZiuTpbeqq8145IhIbYSEtnqgMylmcbocaZ0U9YsbZkRDmK2P0SKjHZosoqAFFCp0MyJUYUzQh9Y_PmxI9zsr6QXlls8NcE0aBSGZ5DpWXWC9TI8RKHF6IBJlfKsUt0G3Bwy-fuS0XOrZMgmzEVBLVLdHwsnr0c/s500/FaeFarm_cover.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="500" data-original-width="500" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh36ScNp_4GGNuVeA6pMSic0niy0Wm25ZiuTpbeqq8145IhIbYSEtnqgMylmcbocaZ0U9YsbZkRDmK2P0SKjHZosoqAFFCp0MyJUYUzQh9Y_PmxI9zsr6QXlls8NcE0aBSGZ5DpWXWC9TI8RKHF6IBJlfKsUt0G3Bwy-fuS0XOrZMgmzEVBLVLdHwsnr0c/s320/FaeFarm_cover.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /> Yes I'm making you go to my other <a href="http://nayusreadingcorner.blogspot.com/2023/09/review-fae-farm-nintendo-switch.html" target="_blank">blog </a>to find out the link to my review of <i>Fae Farm</i> but it's just another click so it's not <i>that</i> much effort for you (^u^) <br /><p></p>Nayuleskahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08693548526829437580noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2792659997171005300.post-65200420360327794312023-09-08T09:04:00.006+01:002023-09-08T09:04:49.610+01:00Nayu's Craft Time #236 Fresh naan & plushie laundry!<p style="text-align: center;"><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdzdLPzQksSwgOCAF5RWa_LxYxI25DJAYynwMi2hXMYeMF3GH3iWZpaelXTbS5-S0cdbtBKeRw6ASNzVHX-nqRJ71PsmICRfavBCBnUotM5LptuTUm4OKsfwzlzhJv59gKKbnJj6U2cRsTMlGfUhRPDoY3-MU9xInIeoKe3T6MGrC_VGZn2aqjOQnq7X0/s4000/Sept%208th%20naan%20half%20and%20half.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1800" data-original-width="4000" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdzdLPzQksSwgOCAF5RWa_LxYxI25DJAYynwMi2hXMYeMF3GH3iWZpaelXTbS5-S0cdbtBKeRw6ASNzVHX-nqRJ71PsmICRfavBCBnUotM5LptuTUm4OKsfwzlzhJv59gKKbnJj6U2cRsTMlGfUhRPDoY3-MU9xInIeoKe3T6MGrC_VGZn2aqjOQnq7X0/w400-h180/Sept%208th%20naan%20half%20and%20half.jpg" width="400" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">cooked vs raw<br /></td></tr></tbody></table> </p><p style="text-align: center;">It's been a week and a bit of stuff going on, some I can't share but I'm about to share what I can. So I managed to make naan bread! I'd wanted to try it, and found a bread friendly recipe. Unfortunately mine ended up drier than it should be and overkneaded <span style="font-size: x-small;">(4 times...) </span>due to not realising it was meant to be a wet dough. I used some shredded coconut as a flavour, to make it a little like peshwari naan. I found some sweet Hello Kitty cross stitch hand towels, and as I need more than one guest towel (I have Winx Club hand towel and thankfully don't have guests often so can easily wash it but I've wanted to have more cute ones) I took the offer which was 40% off. I think you can agree they are adorable! Unfortunately the adorable matching toilet roll holder is unavailable except for a hideously high price but I reckon I can figure out the design from the picture with graph paper so can still have that cuteness in my life as it's so adorable. </p><p style="text-align: center;"> </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTd3DwceZ69Vv_TfAZBuN329JckT1QdRIFnflNIx5B0yFNJxoBNiAawJqH_fQYVsIPATcSezN4yRih26w3rhso_ZZ0Dr8RGP3EZbDgZZDZWD_c9GT6pfEUUCSupd_cwZg4bla2VUqDvuyoh2YtWt_c4gKuWNHRqxlwCR7y461MHlNdJFJFCE03aSiEUmI/s716/Floral%20Fantasy%20Original.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="701" data-original-width="716" height="313" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTd3DwceZ69Vv_TfAZBuN329JckT1QdRIFnflNIx5B0yFNJxoBNiAawJqH_fQYVsIPATcSezN4yRih26w3rhso_ZZ0Dr8RGP3EZbDgZZDZWD_c9GT6pfEUUCSupd_cwZg4bla2VUqDvuyoh2YtWt_c4gKuWNHRqxlwCR7y461MHlNdJFJFCE03aSiEUmI/s320/Floral%20Fantasy%20Original.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><p style="text-align: center;">Anyway....the other kit I got was what I call embroidery. I know cross stitch is embroidery too, but I mean all the other embroidery stitches. I wanted something nice, and saw this beautiful cushion. I adore African Violet flowers, and the colours really spoke to me. Felt so overwhelmed when I opened the kit as I've never done a large scale project, it looked quite complex and has stitches I've never done (long and short) and another I can't recall. The long and short is simple and effective way to create realistic looking petals, I hate not being uniform so I will copy the long and short from the picture so that I'm still working to something as I can see where they do the long and short stitches (If you do embroidery you'll understand what I'm talking about, if you don't, well, it's hard to explain). The other new stitch is absolutely gorgeous and makes up the white scroll effect. So this is a daunting project and it will take take me absolutely ages to finish but will be totally worth it and is exactly what I've wanted. </p><p style="text-align: center;"> I will keep you updated on these and other projects very soon! <br /></p>Nayuleskahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08693548526829437580noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2792659997171005300.post-28137507754015918132023-05-29T00:30:00.021+01:002023-05-29T00:30:00.142+01:00Nayu's Project Progress #42 Gorjuss Winter Friend <p> <table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxy0w3GT7iDN2eXidDGKND7kLi9y8RV0sYktPw1r_4128gNyul7Is-fft5-EdArIjADlaI2GLPs7s94oTZGVAVMjGWjh6IDgzyIXg-PJulJtzr2ufUux9XVCTSEOCzLajU2t6p8Yr4x21qCCAcxCco5xHfD2mlAEk8LMAXJgbHOyuBCljc_7c7_oub/s1024/Winterfriend_2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1024" data-original-width="814" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxy0w3GT7iDN2eXidDGKND7kLi9y8RV0sYktPw1r_4128gNyul7Is-fft5-EdArIjADlaI2GLPs7s94oTZGVAVMjGWjh6IDgzyIXg-PJulJtzr2ufUux9XVCTSEOCzLajU2t6p8Yr4x21qCCAcxCco5xHfD2mlAEk8LMAXJgbHOyuBCljc_7c7_oub/w318-h400/Winterfriend_2.jpg" width="318" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Previous progress<br /></td></tr></tbody></table><br /></p><p style="text-align: center;">It's been a long week and a bit of me still recovering from the cold that started 2 weekends ago. Upon arrival I was a bit a anxious as the waiting area for the covid screening was busy and almost everyone in front of me was given a pager to wait. Thankfully I wasn't. I was instructed to go to the purple waiting area. Usually it's the green area, so I double checked in green and yes they were full so it was purple. Off I went to the pretty coloured chairs in purple. I waited a while, nothing new there. My phone rang, I felt bad I had turned it off but it turned out that was a good thing: the caller was the hospital reception asking where I was as they were searching everyone for me. I'm not naming the provider who I get my medication from, but the short version is due to the app not having an automated system to catch double orders I was without my opiate medication for almost a week. It was extremely unpleasant and I felt awful. I thought the situation was sorted, until the Saturday I got a message and of course it was a bank holiday weekend so I had to wait until the Tuesday to sort it out. I thankfully had a few tablets spare so simply halved them as half was better than nothing, although a quarter of my usual dose made an unpleasant few days. I have been recovering from that drama, medication arrived safely, and life is back to what counts as normal for me. Today is Friday, a day of the week I try to take off from gaming and focus on craft. I like a quieter day because in Islam Friday is the holiest day of the week, and I like to relax on it. I usually game every day, but Friday is the one day I choose not to game (unless there is a new release which I've realised there is today (Harvestella, a farming RPG) so I won't be doing as much craft but will still do a little ^u^) <br /></p><p style="text-align: center;">Years and years ago I followed a crocheter called <a href="https://www.attic24.typepad.com/" target="_blank">Attic24</a> - well her name is Lucy and her site is Attic24. At the time I did not really do much crochet, I just liked her style. She had one or two patterns for sale but was mostly a blogger. Fast forward a few years and a family member has recently learnt to crochet due to arthritis making knitting harder. They bought one of Attic 24's blanket kits which includes all the yarn plus the pattern for around £34 which seems a good bargain given how much yarn there is (around 15 balls I think). I had a look at the site and wow there are so many beautiful blankets! I was tempted to go for a granny square based blanket, maybe like the Aria blanket</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinv2BLKYRwVf5YJJKyic6aT2m8vBPVKnYl3nwdCxdpsJZEFAiE9OCM7-PFAJ3PgDmCnEdMd5kQc_T5ZlAo7JCzOunl78XkiGExrHrAG3pMrdPmAkr3pvJsiZj3ESTGU6JitEmh2Osh7onCFxohLMjEmFvYHXsxZh4Fb4fgk8Pr_S4gmTOFtmJQuqCM/s259/Attic24_Ariablanket.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="194" data-original-width="259" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinv2BLKYRwVf5YJJKyic6aT2m8vBPVKnYl3nwdCxdpsJZEFAiE9OCM7-PFAJ3PgDmCnEdMd5kQc_T5ZlAo7JCzOunl78XkiGExrHrAG3pMrdPmAkr3pvJsiZj3ESTGU6JitEmh2Osh7onCFxohLMjEmFvYHXsxZh4Fb4fgk8Pr_S4gmTOFtmJQuqCM/w400-h300/Attic24_Ariablanket.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><p style="text-align: center;">but because I'm working on a Disney crochet square blanket (more on that in another post), I was feeling adventurous so decided to try a row blanket (with counting and turning rather than lots of little squares joined together. I, however, like order, so I spent over an hour looking at the different colour ways (by moving the yarn balls into the order written) and picked the one I liked the most. I did change where the cream yarn went as I wanted the muted lilac to have a brighter colour by it, and I will just repeat the order 6 or so times. I like how mine is turning out so far! It's a super easy pattern that apart from the start and end of the row I can zone out. I like doing it in the evening before bed while listening to an audiobook. </p><p style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDd4-CM8xgZD-TGjYv9G47Xh6fkB6uoHvyvyipYXXwgCXmvwQHFIi-z6AEQzNs2U4UsEMrtRXpYXiSNsUVVXTa9yKOdauda1UBYuvoVkV5CHI2f5KtuJHigvdTUq1aM26-uTYeMoSxG3po5rgg-qivp76nwWPZHOhTM9ko5w-JhhAE09lUfaPMR33h/s2115/Cupcake%20Blanket%20progress%201.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2115" data-original-width="1800" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDd4-CM8xgZD-TGjYv9G47Xh6fkB6uoHvyvyipYXXwgCXmvwQHFIi-z6AEQzNs2U4UsEMrtRXpYXiSNsUVVXTa9yKOdauda1UBYuvoVkV5CHI2f5KtuJHigvdTUq1aM26-uTYeMoSxG3po5rgg-qivp76nwWPZHOhTM9ko5w-JhhAE09lUfaPMR33h/w340-h400/Cupcake%20Blanket%20progress%201.jpg" width="340" /></a></div><p></p><p style="text-align: center;">I already know which blanket I want to make next after this Cupcake one, I want to do Dune which has a beautiful seashell pattern. Life is happening, albeit it slowly. I mostly chat on my Twitter feed. I will be back here with craft posts hopefully soon. There's life stuff ongong that I can't talk about which does affect my daily life a lot. I hope one day I can talk about it, and it's why I'm sporadic with blog posts. While technically I am anonymous here I could say what's going on but I feel until the issue is resolved (no clue when that will be) I don't mention it online. <br /><br />However, I do have some upcoming posts I hope to share soon. I have started a new weekly (if the next issues turn up soon) crochet project, it's a Disney Crochet magazine with weekly magazines providing yarn and pattern for squares in a crochet blanket. I also finished a cross stitch project of an old fashioned looking girl (think sepia tones) and started a cute hamster which reminds me of a guinea pigs. <br /><br />My girls Tulip and Snow are doing wonderfully. We survived the heatwaves this summer much better than I expected. My flat stays relatively cool, I only used my fan twice to keep the temp down. I did wrap ice blocks in fleece and pop them in the cage but they mostly ignored them. Snow kept having haircuts since she is long-fur, she looked rather funny at times! My two zebra finch males, Tomoya and Hibiki are both doing great too. <br /><br />I am gaming as much as ever, trying to read more, and relaxing as much as possible. <br /><br />Unfortunately due to the Queen dying, my intended ketamine infusion on 19th September couldn't happen. My next one is in a few weeks, it is much needed now and dealing with extra pain is not fun but I'm managing. <br /><br />Hopefully the next update will be really soon! Take care until then. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLJx62IDj2yRPxdxuxwHiVePUfSrd-StJwRVLB8mvqYRVMvjYclSxER-SQ2uCTYsNIW5r-4m-PaCy07NiWiYCYMA6YPuCE4l2lmkZn8rMMRe0YX_ARNX4dfh-mOv5hTqeH2h-YoUrtBwujBgXeURKEU7QggkTw9WaRwIsU4mV3KsTE84Z_JoMNpFnf/s1500/Tulip%20and%20Snow%202.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="500" data-original-width="1500" height="134" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLJx62IDj2yRPxdxuxwHiVePUfSrd-StJwRVLB8mvqYRVMvjYclSxER-SQ2uCTYsNIW5r-4m-PaCy07NiWiYCYMA6YPuCE4l2lmkZn8rMMRe0YX_ARNX4dfh-mOv5hTqeH2h-YoUrtBwujBgXeURKEU7QggkTw9WaRwIsU4mV3KsTE84Z_JoMNpFnf/w400-h134/Tulip%20and%20Snow%202.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><p style="text-align: center;"><br /></p>Nayuleskahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08693548526829437580noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2792659997171005300.post-78858564604493322762022-04-03T11:01:00.002+01:002022-04-03T11:01:15.146+01:00Ramadan 2022<p style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyBhrQtzAW1z8Wz6o4PdxgxOZVIap-7sVLjXMN1hCpdhBWRIBMTVwdxY7K3oLKWZ6zzdK6xbH48grqtXaE2phU0VukvCQV-cTkm9ji8i7zFwULHQ0a3a1zI6ysX0vh9zH6K9K7qTU5p1yvPzOA3YYO0mUEhfJyqbkhr8IaPT1pMjvPNPoMwTXt42dB/s225/ramadan%20kareem.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="225" data-original-width="225" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyBhrQtzAW1z8Wz6o4PdxgxOZVIap-7sVLjXMN1hCpdhBWRIBMTVwdxY7K3oLKWZ6zzdK6xbH48grqtXaE2phU0VukvCQV-cTkm9ji8i7zFwULHQ0a3a1zI6ysX0vh9zH6K9K7qTU5p1yvPzOA3YYO0mUEhfJyqbkhr8IaPT1pMjvPNPoMwTXt42dB/w400-h400/ramadan%20kareem.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /> Ramadan Mubarak! Happy Ramadan to all those celebrating. The crescent moon was confirmed in Saudi Arabia on Friday so the first day of fasting in this holiest month of the Islamic calendar started yesterday. Due to health reasons I do not fast, I donate money instead. Ramadan celebrates the Quran being revealed to the Prophet Muhammed (peace and blessings be upon him).It is a time to focus on God, prayer, charity and spending lots of reflection time. <p></p><p style="text-align: center;">I love Ramadan ever so much! Mine is a bit different as I'm the only Muslim in my family and don't really have many Muslim friends. It's my first Ramadan in my own flat which is super exciting. I have several Ramadan goals, which are personal, and do include reading the Quran, but one I can share is I want to hand sew a Ramadan banner as a decoration. </p><p style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhx9TTNbnTX4X03D4kr5Urtu_2O5VKK8jOp33PXtA7XhTZctmnrSE5XeQOvQYALGhZYGUfLnVpLTwL6Q2qEXqU0fNKO4A9DQHtst3kD3BjfZV-L-RI0Wxe7DawAQhqrHYBQEFmnGv8Mdrrtw2HDg_8iTQY6zEW3RyYYMzpziCmACvasKGKnOSssgE1o/s500/princess%20sarah.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="500" data-original-width="299" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhx9TTNbnTX4X03D4kr5Urtu_2O5VKK8jOp33PXtA7XhTZctmnrSE5XeQOvQYALGhZYGUfLnVpLTwL6Q2qEXqU0fNKO4A9DQHtst3kD3BjfZV-L-RI0Wxe7DawAQhqrHYBQEFmnGv8Mdrrtw2HDg_8iTQY6zEW3RyYYMzpziCmACvasKGKnOSssgE1o/w239-h400/princess%20sarah.jpg" width="239" /></a></div><br /> <p></p><p style="text-align: center;">I may not fast in terms of food and water, but I do change what I watch and read during Ramadan to be romance free and focusing on good qualities. I have started my annual rewatch of the anime Princess Sarah, I have the French version as it was what was available and yes I understand French really well. I prefer the anime version to the original book which was published early 1900s because Sarah is sweet and gentle, whereas in the book she is a bit selfish sometimes. The anime Sarah is treated like a princess at a boarding school as her father is rich, she never is bossy or overbearing. Things change when she learns her father is dead (her mother died when she was a baby) and that the diamond mine that he had had, had indeed never existed. </p><p style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZj9YIsykP1Ov3-ApF5VFnUPKQpAYdEz2_tDEBpMXb5iAL9LPKNPWf9SH88JloO3kfabtZMzguDWMHptxwo7rC0-IgyjRuqbs_FImMOJLJ4n_GahT7t9_N_-g3uL5rT2Oh_AfQ-3QAoyYXaxygfavYB50UiaQJr8JewA_5mXnfMzhdAyR3w9i9c0_T/s371/Princesse%20sarah%20in%20winter%20outfit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="371" data-original-width="355" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZj9YIsykP1Ov3-ApF5VFnUPKQpAYdEz2_tDEBpMXb5iAL9LPKNPWf9SH88JloO3kfabtZMzguDWMHptxwo7rC0-IgyjRuqbs_FImMOJLJ4n_GahT7t9_N_-g3uL5rT2Oh_AfQ-3QAoyYXaxygfavYB50UiaQJr8JewA_5mXnfMzhdAyR3w9i9c0_T/w383-h400/Princesse%20sarah%20in%20winter%20outfit.jpg" width="383" /></a></div><p></p><p style="text-align: center;">The headmistress of the boarding school wants to put her on the streets (it is Victorian England) but she is persuaded to keep Sarah on as a servant. Sarah is treated poorly, but is already friendly with the other young maid, Becky, as well as other friends in and out of the school. Due to a chance happening slowly Sarah's life as a maid begins to improve, until eventually her wealth is restored because the diamond mind did really exist, and her benefactor never stopped searching for her but didn't realise she was living right next door to him. It is a beautiful tale, with the headmistress being the antagonist as well as a snooty boarder whose personality is ugly. The series is 42 episodes long, and I'm at the part where her father is dead. </p><p style="text-align: center;"> I would love to hear how you celebrate Ramadan if you participate in it. </p>Nayuleskahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08693548526829437580noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2792659997171005300.post-18189813338285515232022-03-12T12:11:00.003+00:002022-03-12T12:11:29.869+00:00Over On Nayu's Reading Corner #30 ZeroWater Water Jug review<p style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgU0zxxqW64rWMn-nTdjRl7_2LLGO_JzagPIRIlFQlVYdbXt03lUYlC69aOOPzgbjxlyOdyjAM3gzgvSBKC6AT_NnLtfHHOG2q8bK1uwREwoXOhFgfaxKhzWPbsDobcbvA8rDUlCLb_MbfIvJScNnEmnUbwjMiQIinNWz_E5OwnePIy8rP0nRcxRXRa=s4032" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="1960" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgU0zxxqW64rWMn-nTdjRl7_2LLGO_JzagPIRIlFQlVYdbXt03lUYlC69aOOPzgbjxlyOdyjAM3gzgvSBKC6AT_NnLtfHHOG2q8bK1uwREwoXOhFgfaxKhzWPbsDobcbvA8rDUlCLb_MbfIvJScNnEmnUbwjMiQIinNWz_E5OwnePIy8rP0nRcxRXRa=w195-h400" width="195" /></a></div><br /> Check out my review for a ZeroWater Jug filter system on <a href="https://nayusreadingcorner.blogspot.com/2022/03/zero-water-12-cup-water-jug-vs-brita.html" target="_blank">Nayu's Reading Corner</a>.<br /><p></p>Nayuleskahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08693548526829437580noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2792659997171005300.post-9376785210203023942022-02-13T12:25:00.000+00:002022-02-13T12:25:04.898+00:00Nayu's Craft Time #323 Explained Absence<p> <table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgt96Wpcp0R_L7iRdT9QQHlerzabOquqvYvCePJLUkjgCYjnhSICNV9axiL5jWtE3odKXG-FH-RdKkUB1zz6mCstzeJKOhFY3zYxqJr4y7BncWwj-4nwOamLlzhNGbWkRCTFTUc2mm27VGAXbETil10FCbDb18-co536onZNvCWx9AVdBwfrw25R4_R=s255" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="198" data-original-width="255" height="311" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgt96Wpcp0R_L7iRdT9QQHlerzabOquqvYvCePJLUkjgCYjnhSICNV9axiL5jWtE3odKXG-FH-RdKkUB1zz6mCstzeJKOhFY3zYxqJr4y7BncWwj-4nwOamLlzhNGbWkRCTFTUc2mm27VGAXbETil10FCbDb18-co536onZNvCWx9AVdBwfrw25R4_R=w400-h311" width="400" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Mimi Citron from the French version of Strawberry Shortcake series <i></i><br /></td></tr></tbody></table><br /></p><p style="text-align: center;">Hello! Part of my not new year resolutions is to blog a bit more. I realise we are halfway through February and this is the 2nd post of the year - sorry for that. Life was a little busy, but then recently I haven't been well. A mix of it being winter, and, sadly, me needing my next ketamine infusion. It was due on 7th February, then for reasons I do know but am not explaining here it got rescheduled to 11th March, and as of Friday pushed back to March 21st. The rescheduling is for an understandable reason, I am just thankful the clinic is fitting me in vaguely soon as if I'd waited for my usual consultant clinic I'd be waiting until at least May. </p><p style="text-align: center;">I'm not looking forward to a whole month and bit before getting that important pain relief, as the wait after a few months makes matters worse and me feel rubbish. I can't do anything though, I have gone through a similar wait last year so I know can survive. Just might be quieter than planned. </p><p style="text-align: center;">Not today, but soon I will post as I have some fun craft things I'm making and stuff will be happening in my garden too! I'm loving living in my own little flat ^u^ <br /></p>Nayuleskahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08693548526829437580noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2792659997171005300.post-35486302114988156382022-01-09T12:22:00.000+00:002022-01-09T12:22:21.616+00:00Happy 2022! <p style="text-align: center;"><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhTfgw3BGRz9NEvTY_kxwOA8O3vGG4N5q1duIDQvNqwqWKDCE3NBO-R7xNTEhkxAmUypsEl27iAG_XyU28BxkTVg_-JIPmD1W1nACHawLSH5N1So3pDI-2ndrM8Jg5zj75Q15PKWe6zo2ZDg1mcefT8Wi7flgAHL8nmRneZ8EsHQKcPHlF9OUiNRYoz=s1280" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="720" data-original-width="1280" height="225" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhTfgw3BGRz9NEvTY_kxwOA8O3vGG4N5q1duIDQvNqwqWKDCE3NBO-R7xNTEhkxAmUypsEl27iAG_XyU28BxkTVg_-JIPmD1W1nACHawLSH5N1So3pDI-2ndrM8Jg5zj75Q15PKWe6zo2ZDg1mcefT8Wi7flgAHL8nmRneZ8EsHQKcPHlF9OUiNRYoz=w400-h225" width="400" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Ichigo (left) and Akari from <i>Aikatsu!</i> in their new year kimono (Ichigo almost never has her hair up) Happy 2022!!<br /></td></tr></tbody></table><br /> </p><p style="text-align: center;">A new year, a new location! Well, sort of. Half of 2021 was on the awful side due to previously mentioned events that I will not elaborate on again. I thank God all that is in the past. Then in the later half I got to move to a beautiful new flat and that's where I'm starting my year! </p><p style="text-align: center;"><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><img alt="Image" class="css-9pa8cd" draggable="true" height="195" src="https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FIF-P5DXoAM9PYY?format=jpg&name=large" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" width="400" /></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Tulip and Snow having floor time<br /></td></tr></tbody></table>Those of you who follow me on Twitter know that mid December I adopted 2 beautiful rescue guinea pigs, Tulip and Fluffy. Fluffy got renamed to Snowdrop, although her full name is barely used now and Snow suits her a lot. I love Tulips so Tulip remains Tulip. And extremely greedy! Tulip for sure is the most confident piggy of the two. They both eat a lot, Tulip could eat far more veggies at veggie time if I let her but I don't. She is so greedy that initially occasionally she would almost cough when eating. I thankfully found an article online that was the same issue with other piggies - they do scoff their food too fast. So now I make sure any veggies are in smaller pieces and hey presto, no coughing! Obviously if she does cough continuously I will take her to the vet but so far the smaller food works. I do regularly check for any lumps and bumps just in case its something a bit sinister, but so far so good. </p><p style="text-align: center;"><br />I can trust Snow to take a whole bit of bell pepper or lettuce, run away with it as they tend to do even though they then both choose the same spot in the cage to eat it. Snow doesn't gobble her food! She is extremely nervous though. She has gained confidence in the cage, and happily takes food from me in the mornings when I hand feed. Laptime in the evenings when I give evening veggies is a different matter. Neither like being picked up - guinea pigs are herd animals after all, but Snow does not like being in the cuddle cup. I like hand feeding the veggies as it means I know they both get the correct amount and that Tulip won't steal it all, plus it will help with bonding. As they much away I gently stroke them. I think Snow tolerates this - if she were truly scared she wouldn't eat - initially it would take a few minutes on my lap before she would start eating, now she eats almost straight away. But when the veggies run out she likes to do her ostrich impression, burying her head in the cuddlecup and hiding from me. I stroke her for a little bit longer then put her back. She quickly goes to munching hay so is not traumatised from it. </p><p style="text-align: center;"><img alt="Image" class="css-9pa8cd" draggable="true" height="195" src="https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FIQgaYBXsA4KW2Q?format=jpg&name=large" width="400" /> <br /></p><p style="text-align: center;">I think Snow's nervousness dates to why they ended up at the rescue. They are around 2 years old and were together, but whoever had them couldn't care for them: Snow is long-haired, and her hair/fur was double the length it should have been, horrendously matted and they both had mites plus their nails were never clipped. So when they entered the rescue Snow would have had a lot of work done to her by people. I think she associates being picked up with awful things. Now I do brush her regularly - I have to as part of her care. My family helped me cut her fur. While it's winter I'm happy for it to be long, but come summer to keep her cool and safe from summer hazards she will get a very short haircut! Until then I will cut a little here and there as I can. Nail clipping will happen by the end of the month, trying to build up more trust before I start and I will undoubtedly have to do a paw a day to reduce the stress for them. </p><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><img alt="Image" class="css-9pa8cd" draggable="true" height="195" src="https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FIF-Q5aXsAEnHvB?format=jpg&name=large" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" width="400" /></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Tulip up to no good!<br /></td></tr></tbody></table><p style="text-align: center;">Today I'm setting up a run beside their cage - I will be making it bigger soon, I just got 1 packet of supplies in case the quality was poor. I think it's ok, It's a similar style grid cage system like the C&C cage I have for them which is the biggest that Kavee Cages provide (6x2) 6 grids long and 2 grids wide. I did let them run around most of the kitchen, but setting that up takes a lot of energy from me, so having a slightly smaller permanently in place run will mean they get time outside the cage so I can clean up the poop - they poop an insane amountn - and also air their beddiing to help the fleece liners last longer. I use pee pads on the most used areas to lengthen the main fleece liner's life even longer before it has to be washed. Not having to set up a run means they can be put out their cage no matter how rough I feel, and I know they will be safer: with the boxes method Tulip managed to escape 3 times! Where there's a hole she would find it and Snow would try to follow her. While funny after the event, at the time it was nerve wracking as I didn't want her to get near wires or pee on the carpet. <br /><br />I don't make new year resolutions anymore. I am trying to read a bit more, and working on jigsaw puzzles too. I try to make Friday's my quiet craft days where I sew as I rewatch <i>Little House On the Prairie</i> dvds. Anyway, that's it for now, I will try to blog at least once a week here or/and on <i>Nayu's Reading Corner</i> where my book reviews go. Full growing image at the end of this post.<br /></p><p style="text-align: center;">Here is a catch up with the latest book reviews on my other blog, <i>Nayu's Reading Corner</i>. In just a few weeks hopefully I can say more of what's been going on in my life. Last week I was meant to have ketamine but unfortunately that didn't happen as my heart rate was too high to give it safely. Probably anxiety about life stuff, as well as the usual travel to London during covid anxiety. It's so frustrating as I really need the relief ketamine gives me, but I understand why for safety reasons they have to stick with the limits as most people don't have a naturally fast heart rate. Going to be a very long wait until mid november but hopefully I can get through it sane. Will be trying a few things to try help calm my anxiety including speaking with my local doctor to see if medication can be an option for me. <br /><br />I'm slowly catching up with book reviews - what's going on in my life has affected production a little but I'm trying to get back into a good routine with them. Yes I blame life for being it's crazy self. The really good news is at the end of the month, a major life thingy that's been going on for 18 months will be over! I may not get the outcome for a while, but I promise as soon as I get it, I will explain what's been so stressful since Feb 2020 - no it's not covid. I've kept quiet because it hasn't been resolved but I got news this week when the resolution will be. Honestly it's crazy stressful and I've hated every moment. To have a date that it will almost be over is amazing and I'm thankful to God that will be soon - truly I didn't necessarily expect it to happen this year due to covid. Yes I'm sure you're all curious but I will tell you when I can. Partly for my sanity I don't want to discuss it until it's resolved, and legally although I can't be identified online it's probably better than I wait until it's all finished before sharing anything. Sorry I can't say more now, but in August I should be able to! A few of my friends do know what's going on, but if they can please keep it quiet I'd appreciate it. </p><p style="text-align: center;"><br /></p><p style="text-align: center;"><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-fItflz1pjOI/YOk8ig-eB3I/AAAAAAAAsPM/0a_d1PGkd2Ik651M2WOSiYTGzMjLlnQqQCLcBGAsYHQ/s2543/10thJulyseedlings.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1236" data-original-width="2543" height="195" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-fItflz1pjOI/YOk8ig-eB3I/AAAAAAAAsPM/0a_d1PGkd2Ik651M2WOSiYTGzMjLlnQqQCLcBGAsYHQ/w400-h195/10thJulyseedlings.jpg" width="400" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">The seedlings started like this<br /></td></tr></tbody></table><br /> I'm trying to find the time to squeeze in more blog posts, life depending, of course. I can't remember which and I'm too comfy to move and get the seeds. According to my phone they were planted 21st April. In my grocery haul yesterday I got some plain white paper towels - I'm sure the ink on the one I used isn't harmful but would rather have plain white towels to grow the seeds on. They need watering several times a day at the moment as it's rather warm and the water evaporates fast.</p><p style="text-align: center;"><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-NoAXB6wT0P0/YOk9c2VokZI/AAAAAAAAsPo/CS1gVTknQOEXRFFP7ZD-0oTQRt8v_3C0QCLcBGAsYHQ/s2543/10thJulycressinsandwich.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2543" data-original-width="1236" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-NoAXB6wT0P0/YOk9c2VokZI/AAAAAAAAsPo/CS1gVTknQOEXRFFP7ZD-0oTQRt8v_3C0QCLcBGAsYHQ/w195-h400/10thJulycressinsandwich.jpg" width="195" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Usually have more in a sandwich but I didn't have loads so this is what I did have!<br /></td></tr></tbody></table></p><p style="text-align: center;"> I'm enjoying growing my own cress - it tastes better knowing I've grown it from seed, with God's grace, of course. I'm not letting myself buy any more in my groceries so that I have to keep growing them. So long as I've the energy I'll plant some lettuce tomorrow too! Waking up and seeing how the the plants have grown overnight is something fun to look forward to. </p><p style="text-align: center;"><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9Ny-kgAby4o/YOk9vCA1xQI/AAAAAAAAsP0/ddaUzIRIv1o4USXQW4_g6oC3qw9UWHvFwCLcBGAsYHQ/s2543/10thJulycress2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1236" data-original-width="2543" height="195" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9Ny-kgAby4o/YOk9vCA1xQI/AAAAAAAAsP0/ddaUzIRIv1o4USXQW4_g6oC3qw9UWHvFwCLcBGAsYHQ/w400-h195/10thJulycress2.jpg" width="400" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">The latest growth - it is getting tall! It had no influence on the grade awarded. </b></p><p style="text-align: center;">Several months ago I was asked if I was interested in reviewing these reusable zip lock bags by the company Kikkerland, a popular brand which supplies useful kitchen equipment. As a lover of everything cute my answer was yes please and I picked the Panda range. There are 2 other designs including a hippo and a tiger, but this was my favourite. </p><p style="text-align: center;">Ever since they arrived I've constantly been using these. They've housed hummous</p><p style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-u4BFfK9Ddfo/YJJOm7stocI/AAAAAAAArrE/BJqzSmHhE1AZOIiwWExJhfyWd7dwoSTHACLcBGAsYHQ/s2543/panda%2Bzip%2Bbag%2B1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1236" data-original-width="2543" height="195" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-u4BFfK9Ddfo/YJJOm7stocI/AAAAAAAArrE/BJqzSmHhE1AZOIiwWExJhfyWd7dwoSTHACLcBGAsYHQ/w400-h195/panda%2Bzip%2Bbag%2B1.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /> <p></p><p style="text-align: center;">chopped salad, fruit, and for now prodominantly keep my reusable ice cubes that are also Kikkerland <span style="font-size: x-small;">(I bought them myself and they are brilliant)</span>. As you can see anything, not just food can be kept in them, although they are meant for food. Here is what they look like inside:</p><p style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-4swaMwn8b3E/YJJOzaqDMdI/AAAAAAAArrM/xrp_hvQsGzoMKQD0t9DZhETzkkKYketrgCLcBGAsYHQ/s2543/panda%2Bzip%2Bbag%2B2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1236" data-original-width="2543" height="195" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-4swaMwn8b3E/YJJOzaqDMdI/AAAAAAAArrM/xrp_hvQsGzoMKQD0t9DZhETzkkKYketrgCLcBGAsYHQ/w400-h195/panda%2Bzip%2Bbag%2B2.jpg" width="400" /></a></div> They hold 540ml which is 18.25oz. I haven't put a liquid in here, but you can and it shouldn't leak. The bags hold a decent amount, perfect for solo eaters. They are easy to clean, can be wipe clean and can be washed with regular dishes in the sink.I have put them in both the dishwasher and the freezer, and the function of the bags were unaffected by both processes. <p></p><p style="text-align: center;">They are a bargain price of £5, less than £2 a bag, and with 3 in each packet are perfect for every budget. Affordable cute food storage is a win-win! Yes I do plan to buy some in the future as they are that good. There is nothing negative to say. They are environmentally friendly with their multi-use, they are free of some materials that some people can be allergic to. I'm really impressed and highly recommend these! They are widely available on Amazon and other kitchen related stores online and probably offline too. </p><p style="text-align: center;"><br /></p><p style="text-align: center;">Thanks again to Kikkerland for the free sample of this fantastic ziplock bags! <br /></p>Nayuleskahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08693548526829437580noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2792659997171005300.post-45013788852966386942021-05-05T07:36:00.004+01:002021-05-05T07:36:49.118+01:00Over on Nayu's Reading Corner #27 Good Intentions<p style="text-align: center;"><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-IdQED0a7ga0/YJI84aA62rI/AAAAAAAArp0/kM8kfD9gSTsw0VBiitkISGxxylwFj9SQwCLcBGAsYHQ/s1280/ichigo%2Band%2Bakari%2Bin%2Bkimono.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="720" data-original-width="1280" height="225" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-IdQED0a7ga0/YJI84aA62rI/AAAAAAAArp0/kM8kfD9gSTsw0VBiitkISGxxylwFj9SQwCLcBGAsYHQ/w400-h225/ichigo%2Band%2Bakari%2Bin%2Bkimono.jpg" width="400" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Ichigo and Akari from the anime <i>Aikatsu!</i><br /></td></tr></tbody></table><br /> </p><p style="text-align: center;"> For my most recent update head on over to my other blog, <a href="https://nayusreadingcorner.blogspot.com/2021/05/nayus-news-253-good-intentions.html" target="_blank"><i>Nayu's Reading Corner</i></a>! <br /></p>Nayuleskahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08693548526829437580noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2792659997171005300.post-16480925065938753782021-02-16T08:37:00.000+00:002021-02-16T08:37:02.612+00:00Nayu's Craft Time #321 Virtually No Snow Days<p> </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-frkBzJ_yitc/YCt_2hWSadI/AAAAAAAArkY/_TQs1Fh3uQwO_vRwU2EUVxJ4HxlqgcPCACLcBGAsYHQ/s2543/snow%2BFeb%2B2020.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1236" data-original-width="2543" height="195" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-frkBzJ_yitc/YCt_2hWSadI/AAAAAAAArkY/_TQs1Fh3uQwO_vRwU2EUVxJ4HxlqgcPCACLcBGAsYHQ/w400-h195/snow%2BFeb%2B2020.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><p></p><p style="text-align: center;">Seeing as my last post was the start of this year I figured I needed to put up a post. I tend to forget to since I tweet what I'm up to on Twitter. This year I'm determined to post more often! Craft isn't happening yet due to it being winter and my low energy reserves are in non-existent, especially over the last week when the temperature plummeted well under zero for a good 7 days. Anything below 5C makes me feel awful, but with the real feel down to at least -9C some days my body nted to hibernate extremely badly. It wouldn't be so bad but as you can see even when it was supposed to snow, the snow was a mere sprinkling, blink and you miss it type job. </p><p style="text-align: center;"> </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ZYTtVJFwizk/YCt__6ygdRI/AAAAAAAArkc/PJHmSdb8HjYz7GIdsXzCgWuDqEsUhBUUgCLcBGAsYHQ/s2543/white%2Brolls%2BFeb%2B2020.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1236" data-original-width="2543" height="195" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ZYTtVJFwizk/YCt__6ygdRI/AAAAAAAArkc/PJHmSdb8HjYz7GIdsXzCgWuDqEsUhBUUgCLcBGAsYHQ/w400-h195/white%2Brolls%2BFeb%2B2020.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><p></p><p style="text-align: center;">But that's no excuse for not posting! The day before yesterday I baked some yummy white rolls which look something like this. They usually rise quite a lot, creating beautifully white fluffy rolls. I actually do not enjoy a super crispy outside to a roll, so get it less crispy I put the warm rolls in the biodegradable looks like plastic but isn't bags I regularly use, and close them. The condensation from the steaming rolls prevent the outside staying crispy! It doesn't go soggy, it just isn't crisp. I discovered that trick a while back by accident. Now I do it on purpose! The dough is made in the bread machine and I divide it up into 8 plump tasty roll shapes. Can't be fresh out the oven hot buttered white rolls!</p><p style="text-align: center;"> Today I am gaming! Mostly playing review games that I can't talk about,
but I'm really enjoying my farming games more than ever. Having fun with
<i>Harvest Moon: Light of Hope</i> which I adore (I always marry Gabriel the animal shepherd type person) and is keeping me going until March 2nd when the new HM game <i>One World</i> comes out. It looks so epic guys! I had the privilege to attend a demo event and oh boy I just want to farm my heart out. <br /></p><p style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-c40-E-TDJng/YCuC994vafI/AAAAAAAArks/719wGoyIzdEdWAoaasHP_pVXij61SdA-ACLcBGAsYHQ/s806/light%2Bof%2Bhope%2Bcomplete.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="806" data-original-width="500" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-c40-E-TDJng/YCuC994vafI/AAAAAAAArks/719wGoyIzdEdWAoaasHP_pVXij61SdA-ACLcBGAsYHQ/w249-h400/light%2Bof%2Bhope%2Bcomplete.jpg" width="249" /></a></div><br /> <p></p><p style="text-align: center;">and <i>Stardew Valley</i> where I avoid the mines as all the bugs freak me out. <br /></p><p style="text-align: center;"><i> </i></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><i><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GXwBcJRereA/YCuDWKQc9dI/AAAAAAAArk0/7IKP_1zzXfIUyjLgQvG2ObTdQqZORxMwgCLcBGAsYHQ/s752/stardew%2Bvalley%2Btitle%2Bpic.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="430" data-original-width="752" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GXwBcJRereA/YCuDWKQc9dI/AAAAAAAArk0/7IKP_1zzXfIUyjLgQvG2ObTdQqZORxMwgCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/stardew%2Bvalley%2Btitle%2Bpic.jpg" width="320" /></a></i></div><i><br /></i><p></p><p style="text-align: center;"><i> </i>on my
Nintendo Switch Lite. Yes it is a different colour to my yellow one - I
got coral because my yellow started having significant joycon drift.
Lite's can't be swapped out for a new joycon, and since my Lite means so
much to me as a distraction from my health issues I'd always known I'd
get a 2nd one. I will send my yellow off for repairs at some point, not
just now as got some life stuff regarding money going on, but once a
resolution is reaached I'll send it off or save to send it off for
fixing. I may end up using one for review games and one for other games,
I don't know yet. </p><p style="text-align: center;">I currently have a very unhappy cat under my bed. There's building work going on, and since builders need to come in and out the house (wearing masks, and yes outside my bedroom I wear a mask unless I'm in the middle of the kitchen for a meal) and Belle hates people and any upset to her routine (almost like me), I unceremonially put her in my room earlier, along with her litter tray. I'll grab water and biscuits shortly for her. She happily came out to munch on some yesterday. Shouldn't be for too much longer, weather permitting. When I brought her in she slunk straight under the bed I think in disgust at me shutting her in. To be fair she is nice and cosy under there, she sleeps most of the day, evident from the not so little snores around my pillow area. She is less disturbed under the bed than if she is on it beside me. For the moment she is fed at crazy o'clock (before 5am) when family go to work so we know she actually eats something in the day besides biscuits before the workmen arrive. Sometimes in life I totally wish I could join her under the bed. The photo is of her on my bed as I can't reach her underneath. Have a good day! <br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/--55XZjmk-DI/YCuDyO1PFBI/AAAAAAAArlA/pq0q1Srybt8J-NOupXthAS5fKjbYXj2aACLcBGAsYHQ/s2543/Belle%2BFeb%2B2020.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1236" data-original-width="2543" height="195" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/--55XZjmk-DI/YCuDyO1PFBI/AAAAAAAArlA/pq0q1Srybt8J-NOupXthAS5fKjbYXj2aACLcBGAsYHQ/w400-h195/Belle%2BFeb%2B2020.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><p style="text-align: center;"><br /></p>Nayuleskahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08693548526829437580noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2792659997171005300.post-5831151147276033742021-01-04T08:05:00.003+00:002021-01-04T08:05:11.927+00:00Happy New Year!!!!<p style="text-align: center;"> </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Iy5NVr3IlRg/X_LLhHjXrAI/AAAAAAAArdA/gmn9wV3HTEs0mEzRR5WmnTlGQfLkr9vYwCLcBGAsYHQ/s353/happy%2Bnew%2Byear%2B2021.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="143" data-original-width="353" height="163" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Iy5NVr3IlRg/X_LLhHjXrAI/AAAAAAAArdA/gmn9wV3HTEs0mEzRR5WmnTlGQfLkr9vYwCLcBGAsYHQ/w400-h163/happy%2Bnew%2Byear%2B2021.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><p></p><p style="text-align: center;">Morning! Happy 2021 (or 0021 as I initially typed). I'm sorry for being so silent for several weeks. Me and winter don't get on at all, add on to that current events that were present in 2020 and yeah, I focused on surviving. </p><p style="text-align: center;">This year I'm trying my best to blog more regularly. I tend to think I have blogged, then realise all I've done is posted updates on Twitter. It's the sole social media I'm on and I use it daily. I know not everyone is on it, so I'm sorry for not keeping this and my other blog updated. I am going to try harder, even if it's just a couple of sentences to keep you up to date with life. </p><p style="text-align: center;"><br />Today I'm patiently awaiting a fun parcel. Although I wish I didn't have to buy it, I am excited about it's contents. I'm getting a new Nintendo Switch Lite! Yes I still have the one from last January, but unfortunately I'm experience the dreaded Joy Con Drift. It isn't as easily solved in a Lite as it is in say the original Switch where new joycons can be bought and used. The Lite is my favourite console of all time. I play on it over 6 hours a day. It truly is important part of my life, and I do rely on the games I have to help my mental health. Yes I have other hand consoles, and yes I had wanted to wait to see if there would be a new version of the Lite this year. Unfortunately the third party PowerA wireless controller that I have did not work well with all games - <i>Super Mario Odyssey</i> I'm looking right at you. It was a case of buy a pro controller, or for 4 times the price of a pro get a new Lite. </p><p style="text-align: center;"><br />Ever since I bought my Lite last year I knew this could happen. Nintendo recently told me my gaming time, and with over 2000 hours of gaming clocked up it has more than paid for it's price tag. Once everything is trasnsferred onto the new Lite, and once a week or two has passed to get through the post new year rush, I will send the faulty one to Nintendo and pray they can fix it for me. If they turn round and say they won't, or if it will cost a lot of money then I will say no thank you and just keep it as it is. I'm praying they can fix it for free - I've never used them for repairs before. I have bought new joy cons when my old ones started drifting. I've never had to buy a new controller in my entire 30 years or so of gaming, which is pretty reasonable, so I think the problems are just a build up of my being so lucky with controllers. </p><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5vxZjMYm3Ic/X_LL3OWsq5I/AAAAAAAArdI/WyDUeYGP4Gor1vV2M_3Sce1fzi5hXjvpwCLcBGAsYHQ/s246/clock%2Bpretty.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="205" data-original-width="246" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5vxZjMYm3Ic/X_LL3OWsq5I/AAAAAAAArdI/WyDUeYGP4Gor1vV2M_3Sce1fzi5hXjvpwCLcBGAsYHQ/s0/clock%2Bpretty.jpg" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">May 2021 be filled with more hope and joy than 2020<br /></td></tr></tbody></table><p style="text-align: center;">Anyway, that's it for today. Craft...yeah let's just say I need to slowly build up my craft skills again. Like I said, unless you lived under a rock you know what 2020 was like. Begin extremely high risk from the virus, living with two key workers one in a hospital, plus some other life stuff I'm not yet at liberty to say but I will share later in the year when it's hopefully all sorted, means life is rather stressful for me, despite not having to work so I can stay isolated at home. </p><p style="text-align: center;"><br />I know 2021 still has the issues of 2020. But just by being a different year there's more hope. I pray that it is a great year for all of you. Still busy isolating from the world as best I can during this crazy year. Honestly not been doing a lot of craft, mostly gaming to stay distracted. Covid19 has a lot to answer for. I am trying to get back into craft so please keep bearing with me. I will post pictures later this week. Just had a lot on my plate these past few months, along with being more unwell than normal occassionally too. I hope you all stay safe!! <br /></div>Nayuleskahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08693548526829437580noreply@blogger.com0
