Nayu's Craft Time #314 Summer snacks!

Seems appropriate in the current heatwave
So I am kind of still ill, not really shaking whatever I'm fending off. I'm giving it a few more weeks then will get my blood tested, just to be sure it is nothing that can be fixed with medicine. I have been gaming as usual, I've read quite a lot too. I've also embarked on an online adventure! It probably isn't all that exciting in reality, but being able to order groceries with a few clicks of a button is pretty magical in my view. My first order the other week was super easy. Realistically shopping will make me a lot worse at the moment, so I am saving my energy and using Sainsbury's online. I do make sure I hit the £40 for lower delivery costs, and it lasts me about 2 weeks. Something weird happened when making this order.

I put my food in the virtual trolley, went downstairs to check with my family if they needed anything, and when I came up my £1 delivery slot had changed to...

...50p! Yes, you read it correction. My delivery cost for this order had reduced to fifty pence!!!!! Didn't realise it could go that low. I have asked Sainsbury's why the price dropped out of pure curiosity. Will definitely try to get that price again in the future! I've opted for a midweek delivery, in the afternoon. I have some treats which I can chat about here.

Tasty! They are as single fingers, not 9 lots of 2 fingers
First up is the white chocolate Twix! Someone on Twitter said they'd eaten it, and it happened to be one of the few tweets I'd read so I knew I had to hunt it down. Originally brought at Morrisons, my family bought it from Sainsbury's. It is very tasty, and I agree with the person on Twitter it isn't as sweet. After having a few I can say I prefer the standard milk chocolate, but the white is nice for a change. I have family in Australia who adore Twix so some will be heading down under soon.as we get some. There were none in the Sainsbury's store when my family went back for me, so I've ordered some in my delivery.

The second delight that I've ordered on line is a new fruit cordial by Robinson's: crushed lime and mint flavour. It is divine! Absolutely love the combination, and my family used soda water (which I hate on it's own) but tasted yummy altogether. There are quite a few other flavours: Pear & Elderflower, Raspberry, Rhubarb & Orange Blossom and Strawberry, Cucumber & Mint. I smelled the strawberry one but it's not for me. I would be interested in the others, but they aren't super cheap and I would hate to end up with a bottle of something I don't like, so I probably won't be trying them. It's nice to have something new for summer though! I generally just drink water (with lots of ice, super cold water tastes so goood!) but this will be a tasty treat.

I'd love to know if you've tried any of these treats! Time for me to go rest some more (aka gaming).
No idea who put this together, found it on my laptop picture files from online

Nayu's Craft Time #302 Boxing Day Sale haul!

Forgot to add Pusheen to the mix (sorry for awful photography, doing this while a bit loopy from meds)
As promise on Monday's post here is my Boxing Day sale haul! It was brilliant! There are quite a few cars but I managed to get parking at the local retail park. I was only going to Boots, because they had some Disney merch, and oh boy everything was 50% off! I went a little crazy...

So cute and fluffy!

...got this cutie, who isn't Disney but I love the alpaca toys. I did try using it as it is intended, as a microwave heat toy. I put the bag in the microwave, and while it did get hot, once inside the alpaca it didn't heat up the toy that well. My previous experience with these are the toys where you put the entire toy in the microwave, so I was a bit disappointed. However it's so cute I don't mind adding it to my plushie collection!
I didn't post a picture, but you can see the velcro where the microwave bean bag thingy goes.

...these Pusheen cookies are delicious! Weirdly the kit didn't include icing or sprinkles, so I raided my family's supplies for those. Ended up with two lots as one was a gift but I hadn't yet had the gifts from family when I went shopping, so ended up with double the yummy Pusheen fun!

...You already know I love Pusheen so it's no surprise I picked up this straw cup! The coolest part is the glitter, look what happens when I tip it upside down. Initially I thought the glitter was just in the cup for decoration and it would fall out, but it doesn't! Drinking water is so much fun now

...I really like swans, maybe because of the role of swans in fairytales (Swan Lake) and other fiction. I couldn't resist this cute cup! Which I now realise was actually bought from Sainsbury's not on my sale shop...oh well! It has a little separate screw on pot that I use to take my meds in.

...This is adorable! I think it's the unicorn from the film series Despicable Me, but don't quote me on that. It had some lip balm inside, but once I opened it it didn't stay inside the unicorn. I don't really use anything on my lips not even lip balm, so this won't get used much.

I'm pleased I went, and am delighted with my stash of cuteness. I also got some Pusheen cookies to make (without any icing or decoration) but forgot to take a picture, and Googlemail is refusing to deliver the final few pictures including the Marie straw cup (in the first picture on the right) and my sewing update pictures that  I want to show you. Did you many to snag anything exciting in the sales?

Nayu's Craft Time #268 Cat and human?

And zebra finches!!!
Those of you who follow me on Twitter, and read all my blog posts here know I love my tabby cat Belle ever so much. She hates winter a bit less than me, and likes curling up beside me or on my legs. She has the funniest and mildy annoying habit of sitting on people just when they are about to get up, or, in my case, sits down exactly where I need to sit. She usually gets up when gently poked (not literal poking), often stalks off in a half, but sometimes comes and sits back down on me.
She can touch her toes easily!
Well on Sunday while I got ahead with my blog posts she sat on my bed while I was on an errand.
"You want to sit here?"
I moved her, she came and sat on me. A blog post later I needed to take a photo of my current crochet project, which meant moving her off me. She wasn't happy, and surprisingly came back to me.
"You work on this? You should pet me instead!"
Another blog post written I needed a snack, so had to get up and yes, she went exactly where I was sitting. I moved her, expected her to be extremely grumpy and not come back, but she did,
"Quit moving me every other minute!"
albeit with a large attitude problem, which later got moved to the end of my bed.
"I hate being moved when I'm comfy!!!"
If you have a cat/dog/other animal, I'm sure you can relate to the hilarity of not cat and mouse but cat and human war of who sits where. I win almost every time - the few times I'm only going to sit a short while I let her stay wherever she is because it's easier.
Belle definitely takes ideas from the famous Pusheen the cat!

Nayu's Craft Time #232 A week of medical stuff

I'm alive!
Happy Friday! I'd hoped to blog yesterday, but this week has been crazy busy and I needed the rest. Monday was my heart check up in London which went well. So long as my 24 hour heart monitor results are ok I don't need any meds to keep my uber fast heartrate down. There was a bit of miscommunication at the hospital so I've got to get that monitor done at my local one, so not sure how soon that'll happen.

Tuesday some stuff came up that had me busier than planned, and I popped to the doctor as I was worried about a cough I had. I'll spare you the details but it's not a chest infection (whoohoo) and needed an xray just to make sure everything was okay.

This obviously isn't me!
Wednesday I went to get the xray done (love the speed of xray service!) then did groceries which always wear me out. Given I hadn't really fully recovered from Monday's trip, rest was what I needed yesterday.

So yesterday I did some crochet, nothing I'm ready to show you just yet as I want to finish it first. I caught up with TV: more accurately I caught up with BBC shows. Ages ago none of my tablets liked ITV/Channel 4/Channel 5, so I simply stuck with BBC. That hasn't changed, so it's all I watch excluding dvds. I'm happy enough with it! I then spent the afternoon gaming with Hatstune Miku

This was kind of me yesterday, only I had my cat on me rather than Pusheen the Cat.
because my cat was on my lap. She looked too cute too move! Plus gaming for a few  hours is always fun ^o^

Today I'm off to see some friends at lunch, which will be fun as I haven't seen them since last year. After that definitely resting some more! Tomorrow, I'm hoping to do a bit of blog work in the morning, but will see how it goes.
Whatever your plans for the weekend I hope it's a good one!
